The new Act on Co-operation within Undertakings brought about a continuous dialogue between employer and employees. Changing circumstances continue to require change negotiations, as was the case under the previous Act on Co-operation within Undertak-ings. The regulation of representation in administration has been transposed from a sepa-rate act into the new Act on Co-operation within Undertakings. 

The Cooperation Ombudsman also oversees the legislation on employee participation in European Companies (SE) and the European Cooperative Society (SCE) as well as on group cooperation and the European Works Council (EWC). 

The Cooperation Ombudsman gives instructions, advice and opinions related to the legis-lation on cooperation and employee participation.
